The Diagnostic Accreditation Program of BC (DAP) is the only regulatory body that can confer the Accreditation Award on behalf of the DAP Committee.
Award standings are:
Full accreditation for a period of four years.
Accreditation with Report This award standing will be conferred to an organization that delivers clinically safe and reliable services but has some anomalies to correct in its organization before it can be granted full accreditation status. The period in which the report must be provided to the DAP will form part of the award requirements.
Non-accreditation This award will be conferred to an organization that does not meet the basic requirement of a clinically safe and reliable service as defined by the accreditation standards. A physician in BC may not practice in, nor refer patients to, a non-accredited facility.
