Accreditation Programs Diagnostic Imaging Magnetic Resonance Imaging

The 2010 edition of the Accreditation Standards for Magnetic Resonance Imaging came into effect for all new facilities/services on April 28, 2010. Facilities/services that already have an accreditation award will be resurveyed using the 2010 edition of the Standards.

The 2010 edition of the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Standards have been internationally reviewed and Accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).

All Standards applicable to a Magnetic Resonance Imaging facility/service are listed here for convenience.

All new facilities, and new services provided by an accredited facility, must proceed through the Initial Assessment process PRIOR to service delivery and testing of equipment on people. During the Initial Assessment process, the facility/service is assessed to a partial selection of the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) Accreditation Standards. The Accreditation Standards for Initial Assessment DI document contains those standards. New facilities or services should visit the New Facility page for information on Initial Assessment.

The accreditation standards for Magnetic Resonance Imaging contained in the following PDF document are a subset of the 2010 Accreditation Standards for Diagnostic Imaging.
