Dr. M. Murray
Deputy Registrar DAP
Dr. Michael Murray received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1983. He practised emergency medicine in Ontario prior to relocating to British Columbia where he held various positions in health authority administration. He joined the College as a deputy registrar in 2015.
Dr. Jonathan Agnew
Dr. Agnew received a PhD in health services and policy analysis from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of London. Prior to joining the College in 2013, he worked for the BC Medical Association (now Doctors of BC) for eight years where he was responsible for managing and directing staff in the planning, development and evaluation of various health policies and programs. During his time at the College, Jonathan has held several director-level positions supporting the quality assurance and accreditation programs.
Manger Laboratory Medicine
Ms. Jackson has a General RT and a Bachelor of Technology (BT) degree (with distinction) in Management with a Health Sciences Speciality from BCIT. Previously she was the Technical Director Laboratory Operations VRL and BC Region at LifeLabs. She has worked in many disciplines of Laboratory Medicine including Chemistry, Hematology, Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Toxicology. She has been a College of American Pathologists (CAP) inspector and a specialized Toxicology inspector for CAP.
Manager Diagnostic Services
Mr.Martinig holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and has completed his Masters of Health Administration at the University of British Coluimbia. Previously he worked in public and private healthcare settings as a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist. He also had clinical experience in Bone Densitometry, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and as a radiopharmacist.
Ms. Penn obtained her Registered Laboratory Technologist (RT) certification from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She obtained her certificate in Laboratory Quality Management from University of British Columbia and has achieved a Lean Healthcare Black Belt designation. She has held supervisory, management, and director level positions in the laboratory community in BC and has focused her career on Laboratory Quality and Quality Improvement for more than a decade.
