The Accreditation Council has delegated responsibility and authority to determine the accreditation award to be conferred to an organization. The Accreditation Council makes decisions and confers accreditation awards in keeping with established policies and procedures set out by the Board of Directors. 

Appointments to the Accreditation Council are made by the Board of Directors. 

At present, the Diagnostic Accreditation Program is in the process of implementing this new Council. Until such time as the Accreditation Council is appointed, the Board of Directors is deciding all accreditation awards to be conferred to organizations.
